Activity Preparation:

• Print a bulletin for each child
• Gather a pencil and blank 8-½" x 11" piece of paper for each child
• Gather crayons or colored pencils

Activity Directions:

1. Give each child a bulletin, a pencil, a blank piece of paper and some crayons/colored pencils.
2. Have the children solve the "An angel told Manoah's wife …" puzzle while you read aloud Judges 13:1-24.
3. After reading the story, ask the children to imagine what the angel looked like at the end of the story as he rose unharmed into the flames of Manoah's sacrifice.
4. Have the children draw a picture of what the angel might have looked like as he ascended to heaven unharmed in the flames of Manoah's sacrifice.

Sunday school activity about Samson for ages 7-12: What happened next?

Activity Preparation:

• Print a single bulletin. Carefully cover the five storyboard pictures at the bottom of the second and third panels of the bulletin so that they won't appear in subsequent photocopies. Copy the adapted bulletin, printing one for each child
• From the originally printed single bulletin, cut out the five storyboard pictures and arrange them out of chronological order, onto a blank 8-½" x 11" page. Then, copy the adapted storyboard page, printing one for each child
• Gather markers or colored pencils
• Gather a pencil, a pair of scissors and a roll of tape or glue dots for each child

Activity Directions:

1. Give each child an adapted bulletin and a pencil.
2. Have the children complete the puzzle "What happened next?"
3. Allow the children time to complete the puzzle. Then, have a volunteer read the answer.
4. Give each child an adapted storyboard page, a pair of scissors, markers/colored pencils and tape/glue dots.
5. While you read aloud Judges 13:1-24, have the children color the storyboard pictures and cut them out.
6. After reading the story, have the students match the storyboard pictures with their "What happened next?" puzzle solutions and paste them in chronological order onto the bottom of their adapted bulletin.
